PROJECT: LOGO & AWARD
DESIGN CHALLENGE: THE LMG(A) were moving forward in their efforts to raise the profile of their organization and Location Professionals in general within the film and TV industries. As a part of this effort, they mounted their own awards event and needed both an award itself, and a logo to represent the event as well as their monthly organizational magazine- “The Compass”. This is my interpretation of a ‘compass rose’ that incorporates the Guild’s logo right in the center.
PROJECT: PROMOTIONAL CALENDAR
DESIGN CHALLENGE: The Location Managers Guild International are an impressive, if little understood, group of Film and Television industry professionals. Their membership includes both Location Scouts and Location Managers, who source out and submit photographs of possible locations for filming to producers for film, TV, and print productions. These locations then become a foundational part of the look and feel of the resulting production.

Photography plays a not incidental role in location managers’ and scouts’ ability to secure employment – and as a result, the group boasts some outstanding photographers. Their members submitted photos from all over Los Angeles and curated a show at a downtown gallery. This catalog accompanied the exhibit.
